About Izzey:
Izzey offers violin, piano and music theory lessons to beginners. She also tutors GCSE music students looking to improve their grades, primarily AQA syllabus (but has taught some Edexcel too).
Teaching Experience:
Izzey offers tuition to all ages. She has experience with beginner students (particularly those with special needs). Izzey is a caring, patient teacher who offers tuition up to ABRSM grade 5 violin level and grade 2 piano, together with ABRSM music theory and GCSE Music.
Izzey's Background to Learning Music:
Izzey began learning the violin at 4 years old and is currently studying music at Peter Symonds College in Winchester (Izzey is at violin grade 8 level and is planning for her Diploma too).
Izzey has been a member of several children's orchestras over the years and is currently a member of SCYO (Surrey County Youth Orchestra).
Izzey says: "I really enjoy teaching beginner students to get started on their musical journey". As I achieved the highest grade 9 level possible for my GCSE Music, I enjoy sharing my knowledge with other students in years 10 and 11 so they can get their best grade too".
Izzey really enjoys teaching and is also particularly interested in music history (helping us to unlock 'time capsules' of famous composers as part of our Summer Camps to bring music more alive).
