About Peter:

Peter thoroughly enjoys playing and teaching guitar to adult students.

Experience:

Peter currently plays in a local barn dance band ('Saxon Drain' from Yateley). He has been performing since the age of 14 in various bands including pop/rock/dance bands.  Peter's early bands were headlined with well known band members from 'T-Rex' (Marc Bolan), 'The Animals', 'Queen' (Roger Taylor), 'Brian Poole and The Tremeloes' and 'The Byrds', playing in all the major venues throughout the South West of England.  

In fact one of his previous guitar students (Marcus Lillington) went on to be a leading member of one of the top bands in the 80s ('Breathe').

Peter also plays regularly in local churches on Sundays to worship and share his talents with others.

Peter's Approach to Learning Music:

Peter has a hands on approach whilst teaching the skills needed to play solo or in a group setting.  

Peter says: "I really enjoy teaching chords and rhythm guitar for self-accompaniment or playing in a band. There is also a lot of satisfaction when the lightbulb goes on for a student who is 'learning from scratch'.  So much can be a learnt about rhythm styles for all kinds of genres." 

Peter also enjoys family time with his 4 children, 8 grandchildren and now 2 great-grandchildren.
